The Strain - TV Series?

ok, in no particular order... first thing tonight is a review of "Mr Darcy, Vampyre" from Sia McKye's blog.

The NYTimes today has a piece written by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, authors of "The Strain" on vampires.

Today is release day for Park Chan-wook's film "Thirst". USA Today has an article on the film here. The LA Times has its thoughts on the film here.

The Santa Monica Mirror runs a piece today on "The rise of the vampire"

It seems that Rachel Lefevre and the twilight gang are at each others throats over the decision to axe her from Eclipse, several stories of outrage out there... heres one from Cinemablend.com.

This isnt news, but its a reply i'd like to share with the twilight anonymous site, who yesterday decided that the twilight series was a far better piece of work than Anne Rice's vampire Chronicles series, despite apparantly only skimming through Interview with the vamp (getting most facts wrong in the process) and ignoring the other books entirely. Thanks to Gabrielle Faust for supplying this one... if anyone ever annoys you with "twilight is the best thing ever" rubbish, just point them at this.

Vampire Cafe spotted this - Brandon Routh talking about his next film, "Dead of Night" a film based on Dylan Dog.

Big news of the day now... Vampire Cafe once again providing. Possible news that "The Strain" by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan may be being turned into a TV series.

Entertainment Weekly has two features running - their top 14 vampire hunks here, and the top 13 vampire ladies here.

Taliesin today does a piece on a "Reaper" episode that had vampiric tendancies.

A little stage news now - "Dracula : The musical" is playing in New York through August at the Lycian Centre.

And thats it for today... would have been a few more, but the Examiner site is down unfortunately.
